Sylvia graduated as a veterinarian in 1993 from Massey University. After 4 years in mixed practise she moved overseas and worked in companion animal practice in London. Upon returning to NZ in 2001 she settled into companion animal practise in Auckland and has been here ever since.
In 2005 Sylvia passed Membership exams in Small Animal Medicine. She also has a particular interest in Dermatology.
And an acquired interest in behaviour after the addition of a severely anxious dog to the family

Sylvia spends most of her spare time with her new project- a rescue dog called Eddie. She also enjoys hanging out with friends, playing board games, gardening and camping/ tramping.
